Our mission is to help children develop a love for learning that continues throughout their lifetime. We help parents instill good character and self-esteem while teaching children to love others as God would have them love themselves. We are sincerely dedicated to strengthening the community and supporting families in their quest to provide a better life for their children.
Our Company
LOVE AND GRACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY is a non-profit academy providing a loving, nurturing childcare and learning environment for children from infancy through kindergarten. Before and after school and summer programs serve children up to age 12 in an affordable learning environment where the Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) Children and Parent Services (CAPS) payments are accepted. We use the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS), along with an Abeka-based program that provides a scriptural foundation for academic excellence and good character training.

Meet Our Owner
In 1982, Mrs. Cleotha Griffith introduced her innovative Christian-based educational programs for preschool and childcare to Dekalb County, Georgia, by opening Love Thy Children Childcare and Christian Learning Center in Decatur. This center was a pioneer in the introduction of computers to young children in the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
In October 1994, John and Cleotha Griffith founded LOVE AND GRACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, a non-profit organization that currently provides a loving and nurturing early childcare learning environment for infants and toddlers and instructional programs for preschool through kindergarten. The Academy programs are implemented by degreed staff and professional team members certified in early childhood development. Our staff provides flexibility to accommodate children with various learning styles. The educational program, based upon the Abeka Curriculum, is phonics-driven and Christian-based. It provides children with the skills needed for reading and comprehension in the early years.
Mrs. Griffith, founder and owner of LOVE AND GRACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMYand Love Thy Children, is an advocate for families and children. She is an ordained minister and a community and civic volunteer.

Hours of operation are from 6:30 A.M to 6:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. Children enrolled full time are entitled to attend school for a maximum of five days per week, up to 12 hours per day, except for major holidays.
